Purpose of job
Working with the Financial Controller in leading the improvement and delivery of the site's financial performance. To support and develop operating procedures to enhance the company's ability to deliver effective and timely information.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform company accounting duties and determine revenue and expenditure
- Update Salesforce with Income data and produce monthly income for month end reporting.
- Determine monthly revenue forecast and perform monthly revenue analysis and reconciliation.
- Follow up outstanding invoices with the council every month and improve cash collection.
- Create monthly revenue report to the management
- Oversee financial transaction and process invoices promptly in Xero
- Perform reconciliation of account receivable and payable and handling daily receipts and daily reconciliation.
- Perform financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities
- Support the efforts to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of all financial operations.
- Ad hoc tasks and reporting as required by the business.
Person Specification
This describes what is required of the role holder, and is split into six sections:
1. Qualifications
Essential
- Fully Qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, AAT)
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting with experience in revenue recognition
Desirable
- 2- 3 years of work experience in a finance department and revenue reporting role.
2. Experience
Essential
- Previous experience working revenue / income.
- Experience using Excel to advance level
Desirable
- Experience working in Housing background
- Prepare Month End reports and working spreadsheets.
3. Knowledge
Essential
- Overseeing collection of income from the company
- Working alongside the management team, to make improvements to procedures and controls
Desirable
- Knowledge of Sales force desirable but training will be provided.
- Knowledge of Xero
4. Skills
Essential
- Raising income invoices and making sure payment is received on time.
- Revenue analysis and reporting
Desirable
- Help improve collection of cash and credit control
- Working closely with the income team.
- Able to work independently
