Salary: £21 000 – £25 000 per annum

Location: Based at our Birmingham Office, with regular travel to our other West Midlands Offices

Purpose of job

IT support queries, you will work with over 80 users to maintain and monitor IT systems, including remote working solutions and understand and resolve technical issues promptly and professionally.

The incumbent in this position will be responsible for Office 365 and SharePoint administration, providing End-user support and training for hardware and software, and collaborating with the IT Manager to ensure operational security, Maintenance and Governance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Training and educating end-users on Microsoft 365 capabilities and collaboration tools (OneDrive, Teams, OneNote, Outlook etc.)
  • Providing end-user support for all PC based hardware, applications, and services
  • New user setup and orientation, including installing and configuring laptops, software, telephone services, network printing, etc.
  • Maintain and provide support for all IT infrastructure
  • Provide tier 1 and tier 2 support and troubleshooting
  • Must be able to provide complete administration of the Microsoft 365 environment and its capabilities.
  • Testing, implementation, and deployment of Exchange Online.
  • Query Exchange environment using the Office 365 Command online tool.
  • Update, contribute and maintain local SharePoint team sites as procedures/documentation change.
  • Troubleshoot issues with Microsoft 365 Teams.
  • Create security and distribution groups in Active Directory.
  • Review, test, and make recommendations for standard email practices.
  • Experience with supporting anti-spam filtering, logging and email tracking and transport rules.
  • Primary On-site support for Microsoft 365 issues.
  • Implement and support security policies, such as data retention.
  • Create user guides and instructional documents for end-users.
  • Troubleshoot issues with Microsoft 365 Teams.
  • Respond to either first-line support or end-user software or hardware queries via email, phone or face to face.
  • Work with the IT Manager and broader support team to address any recurring technical issues, and any training or documentation requirements are identified and implemented.
