I am filled with hope and optimism for the future, knowing that together, we are making a difference in the world.

ACH is an organisation dedicated to working with refugees and migrants, providing them with essential skills, support, and opportunities for a brighter future, so that's why I wanted to become part of this team. From language to mathematics and finance, ACH empowers refugees to not only adapt to their new lives but also to thrive. Moreover, ACH offers guidance and resources to help them start their own businesses, making entrepreneurship seem more achievable than ever, thanks to the incredible expertise of their enterprise facilitators.

Business Support - More Attainable Than You Think

One of the most exciting initiatives at ACH is their support for refugee and migrant entrepreneurs. Many refugees and migrants come to a new country with unique skills and talents, and ACH helps them turn these abilities into thriving businesses. ACH’s business support team, who are not only experts in their fields but also incredibly compassionate individuals, guides business planning, marketing, and financial management.

What is truly remarkable is how ACH demystifies the world of entrepreneurship. Many refugees initially view starting a business as an insurmountable challenge, but with the support and guidance they receive, they realise it's more attainable than they ever thought. Witnessing their entrepreneurial journey from inception to fruition is incredibly rewarding.

My Challenges

My job included promoting our cause, managing social media, and creating content. It was challenging because of my English level, but I learned a lot. I helped with events, wrote newsletters, and collaborated with people. English wasn't my first language, so I faced communication issues, but I improved over time. The diverse team supported me, and I grew confident in my marketing skills. My experience taught me the importance of persistence and the value of teamwork in achieving our goals. Working as a marketer was a rewarding journey that broadened my horizons.

In conclusion

My experience as a volunteer marketer at ACH has been nothing short of remarkable. My marketing team, especially Sena and Laura, along with the entire ACH team, are making a lasting impact, and I am profoundly grateful for the opportunity to be part of this extraordinary journey. As I look back on my time at ACH, I am filled with hope and optimism for the future, knowing that together, we are making a difference in the world.
