Resident Engagement Day 2.24

A Recap of Our Birmingham Resident Engagement Day

“More social events, more insightful information like Himilo’s training offerings and more workshops to help us further understand our rights in the UK”, those were the words of our tenants from our recently held Resident Engagement Day in Birmingham.

As an integration and supported housing provider, these events are a key aspect of our approach to providing a platform for face-to-face interaction and fostering a sense of community among our tenants.

Occurring on the evening of February 23rd, we were delighted to host 15 tenants who came together to share their voices, connect with one another, and provide invaluable feedback on their living experiences.

As an integration and supported housing provider, these events are a key aspect of our approach to providing a platform for face-to-face interaction and fostering a sense of community among our tenants.

Our gatherings aren't just about collecting feedback; they're about creating a space where everyone feels heard, valued, and included. We believe in the power of bringing people together simply to talk, eat, and make new friends. And it's heartening to see that our tenants resonate with this sentiment, as one of the key takeaways from the session was the desire for more regular invitations to sociable meetings like this.

The day also serves as an opportunity for us to address important issues and discuss ways to improve living conditions. We're committed to actively listening to our tenants' needs and working collaboratively to find solutions that enhance their quality of life.

To start off, we introduced games like bingo, which proved to be a hit among our tenants. It was heartwarming to see them embrace new experiences and enjoy themselves, reinforcing our belief in the importance of providing opportunities for joy and connection.

Among the feedback we received, the sentiment was overwhelmingly positive, with tenants expressing their enjoyment of every aspect of the event. From the games to the food to the Himilo sessions, there was something for everyone to appreciate. And it's moments like these that remind us of the impact we can have when we come together as a community.

As one tenant put it, "I liked all parts." This sentiment captures the essence of our Resident Engagement Day sessions – a gathering where every aspect is designed with our tenants' enjoyment and empowerment in mind. It's about creating moments of joy, fostering connections, hearing what they have to say and reaffirming our commitment to serving our community with excellence.
