You’re invited to The Welcome Party
You’re invited to The Welcome Party: An evening celebrating journeys from sanctuary to success with Sir Mo Farah
Join us for The Welcome Party on Thursday 7th November at the incredible The Mount Without.
Please book your ticket to secure your place at this special event.
A sophisticated evening celebrating journeys from sanctuary to success, The Welcome Party will honour refugees, asylum seekers and migrants in the Bristol workforce, alongside a fantastic drinks reception, dinner and entertainment.
You’re invited to come along and hear, see and literally taste the positive impact that refugees, people seeking asylum and vulnerable migrants have on the UK and the city of Bristol specifically.
The Welcome Party will bring together community leaders, local businesses, and supporters for an evening that promises to showcase the positive impact of diversity and inclusion in the city of Bristol and beyond. Guests will enjoy a drinks reception with musical accompaniment from Sisanda Myataza, and a taster menu representing global cuisines from Sudan, Egypt, and Sri Lanka, all crafted by ACH’s refugee and migrant-led catering businesses
We will welcome Sir Mo Farah for a powerful onstage interview, which will see him tell his own story of how he was trafficked to the UK aged nine in the aftermath of the Isaaq massacre in his birthplace of Somaliland, and how he went on to become one of the UK’s most successful olympic athletes.
The Welcome Party is more than just a joyful celebration; it's an opportunity for us all to advocate for change. By coming together, we aim to challenge and transform the systems that often hinder opportunities for those seeking refuge in our country. We believe in the power of diversity and inclusion to enrich our workplaces and communities.
Your presence at The Welcome Party will not only honour the achievements of our diverse workforce but also contribute to the momentum for positive change.
We look forward to welcoming you as we celebrate diversity, resilience and the boundless potential of every individual.
