Meet the Board: Jane Ginnever
Every month we will be introducing a new board member of Ashley Community Housing. This month it's the turn of Jane Ginnever, the newest member to the ACH board.
I’m Jane Ginnever, I’ve been a board member for just a couple of months now so I’m quite new to the board of Ashley Housing. My background is in leadership of organisations, about 30 years as an employee in various organisations in leadership positions.
So, my experience ranges from various organisations from big corporates to barrister chambers to the armed forces to not-for-profits, it’s a whole range. I went into HR management for the last 10 years of my employed career and did a number of roles within a HR management role. So my experience really is about leadership and people and how to make organisations work through the people that work for them.
My big drive now is to really help as many organisations as possible and as many people as possible to achieve their potential, so that’s my kind of drive for the rest of my career. I want to help ACH do that through making sure that we work in the best way possible with the team that we have, because it’s an amazing team at ACH. I want to help make sure that we get the best out of the team and create an amazing environment and a great place to work for them, because the work that they do for the people they help is fantastic. To know that that’s the outcome of the work that I’m doing for the board is wonderful.
I felt like I had to be involved; sometimes you’re just drawn to certain organisations and certain groups of people and this is how it felt for me with Ashley.
Next month will see a new introduction to a board member so stay tuned!
