Every person deserves to be treated as individuals and I want to achieve personal satisfaction that I have done this to everyone who is a part of ACH.  I want clients to know that they are and have received the very best support from myself to which then will continue ACH’s already established wonderful approach at supporting refugees.

What did you do before coming to ACH?

Before coming to ACH I worked for a total of 30 years in Housing working at Wolverhampton City Council for 17 years and then transferred over to Wolverhampton Homes in 2005 and have had various roles within Housing, my last role was an Income Officer.

Why did you decide to come to ACH?

I was looking for a change and when I saw ACH advertising for an Income Officer I looked at what ACH did as a company and thought it would be a great opportunity for me to move over into an organisation that not only provides accommodation but supports clients and helps them to integrate into society.

What project are you working on for us?

I am currently involved in the MiFriendly Cities Steering Group which Wolverhampton has just signed up to be involved in together with Birmingham and Coventry.  It’s about supporting and promoting sustainability of refugees in Wolverhampton.  I am also involved in a project which is in its very early stages with Wolverhampton City Council Social Services in identifying family homes to support families that are currently in temporary accommodation within Social Services.

What is it that you want to achieve?

Every person deserves to be treated as individuals and I want to achieve personal satisfaction that I have done this to everyone who is a part of ACH.  I want clients to know that they are and have received the very best support from myself to which then will continue ACH’s already established wonderful approach at supporting refugees.

What are you hoping to gain from ACH?

I am hoping to gain further valuable knowledge within supported accommodation and understanding more about the client group that we support.

What is your proudest moment in your career?

I am very proud of myself for my 30-year career history within Local Government and that I am a compassionate, hard working person, which was clearly seen by ACH when I went for my interview.  I am very proud now that my strong work ethic, knowledge and experience has secured me as the new Office Manager of the Wolverhampton Branch of ACH.
