I would like for the people and business I work with to receive unrestricted access to the support available to achieve their dreams; I believe everyone has the right to explore enterprise and will ensure those in the region can have the ability to do so.

What did you do before coming to ACH?

For the past 3 years, I have been Managing Director of a family-based vehicle logistics business based in the South West. Before that, I worked in Central Bristol and Somerset in the business support landscape, training and coaching people to overcome their barriers into self-employment. I also worked as a self-employed Professional Photographer for ten years up to the point of joining my family business.

Why did you decide to come to ACH?

The job itself was a key reason and the fact that ACH, as an organisation, recognises the benefit of enterprise and the need for someone to support the facilitation of it. Enterprise has huge benefits to the economy as well as the individuals who choose this path, and ACH have a clear vision of what they would like to achieve with my role – I appreciate a company with a strong vision.

What project are you working on for us?

My role is Entrepreneurship Facilitator and I shall be working on a Pilot Partnership Project with Engine Shed and Barton Hill Settlement. The task is to strengthen new and existing businesses in the region, as well as working with the established business support ecosystem aiding them to be more inclusive and working with communities who are currently under-represented in Enterprise.

What is it that you want to achieve?

I would like for the people and business I work with to receive unrestricted access to the support available to achieve their dreams; I believe everyone has the right to explore enterprise and will ensure those in the region can have the ability to do so.

What are you hoping to gain from ACH?

A friendly and supporting work family with whom I have shared interests and dedication to the wider vision.

What is your proudest moment in your career?

During the last working job of my professional photography career a few years ago; the realisation that I had built something from very little which saw me gain financial independence, stability and self-growth in ways I’d only dreamed of, having overcome many personal and professional barriers to do so.
