Saed Mohamed

Meet the team leaders: Saed Mohamed

My name’s Saed Mohamed, and I’m the Housing Manager for ACH in Bristol. I’ve been working with ACH since 2014, but I was also involved before that.

My role as a Housing Manager as well as my department and our team, we impact on the people we help every day; vulnerable people, homeless people in the community who came to us in a desperate situation and needing help. The job we do makes a lot of difference in their lives, giving them a roof over their heads and ensuring that they have a safe and secure place to live in, and also ensuring that they get supported while they are a tenant of ACH. So, it makes their lives very very different and they always appreciate the work that we do for them.

It’s a rewarding job, because obviously when you see someone who you’ve been helping for a very long time living independently and their life has changed, and basically they can do something themselves now after being homeless before, it really makes you want to do more and even work for ACH for years to come.

I’m hoping to further my career at ACH, and to gain quite a lot of experience within the company, possibly a bigger role in the future if ACH grows from where it is now. And also, personally, I’d like to possibly be a housing consultant in the future where I specialise in housing policies, regulations and legislations, so that’s my individual aspirations for the future.
