volunteers helping us help regugees

Volunteers needed

Our Job Club has been getting a make-over during August. With high demands and increasing referrals, we decided to make some changes to the way we run Job Club at ACH. These included hiring a new member of staff to run and oversee all things Job Club, adding an extra Job Club session each week to enable more people to be helped and now we are looking for Job Club volunteers.

We need volunteers who have a friendly, helpful and patient personality who can mentor our service users and build one-to-one relationships with them. Tasks will include supporting people to do online job searches, motivating and supporting service users and help them to improve their independence when job searching.

The brand-new style of Job Club starts up on 4th September and the new hours will be:

  • Tuesdays 2pm – 4pm
  • Thursdays 2pm - 4pm

As a volunteer, hours can be flexible, and you are not required to attend every session.

Why volunteer with us?

Being a Job Club Mentor is a great way to obtain valuable skills, experiences and references, which can make your CV stand out from the crowd and help you gain future opportunities. You will also build relationships in the community and be an important part of a valuable service.

We have a fantastic team who work with us and you would get to be a part of that, learning from the Job Club Manager, Career Advisers and other volunteers to enhance your knowledge and skills.
