Starbucks Employment Support Programme

  • Are you from a refugee background?
  • Are you looking for full-time or part-time work?
  • Would you be interested in being a Barista within one of Starbucks' stores in Bristol or Birmingham?

ACH and Starbucks are working in partnership to support the employment of refugees. Together we will be providing support and assistance to those needing help in accessing work as a first step towards building a new life.

Starbucks have pledged to support refugee employment globally and plans to hire 2,500 refugees to work at its coffee shops in Europe. This is part of the chain’s commitment to hiring 10,000 refugees worldwide over the next 5 years.

ACH will provide pre-employment training and one-to-one support to selected candidates followed by guaranteed job interviews for Barista roles within Starbucks stores across Bristol and Birmingham.

The course will cover:

  • Interview skills
  • Customer service
  • Health & Safety
  • A local store visit

If all modules are completed you have a guaranteed interview with them at the end of the course.

The pre-employment course will be running on the following dates:
