We are excited to be working in partnership with Up Our Street and SETsquared Bristol on a Diversity and Inclusion Project to Improve Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic (BAME) representation amongst tech start-ups in the city. Set up by the University of Bristol and based at Engine Shed in the heart of the Enterprise Zone, SETsquared Bristol supports high tech start-up companies, and is home to over 80 innovative ventures.

Last winter we worked with Bristol City Council, Quartet Community Foundation, Growing Futures and Easton Energy Project to raise awareness about energy among our residents.

In the past, there have been initiatives in Coventry to get key organisations across the city together to address issues of support for refugees and migrants. However, nothing has progressed to the extent needed to truly make change happen. That’s why ACH and Cllr. Kevin Maton from Coventry City Council organised a Roundtable Workshop on 29th January, inviting a range of councillors, charities and refugee organisations.

Common Purpose prides itself on their unrivalled access to senior leaders and organisations across the world, and their Future Leaders course provides university students with the Cultural Intelligence and leadership skills to tackle the complex challenges of the world today. On 10th January, ACH Birmingham gave Future Leaders from Birmingham City University access to their inner workings.

What did you do before coming to ACH?

Team building day for staff across our Birmingham and Wolverhampton offices. It was a fantastic day and really broke the ice between staff members and built on relationships.
